CODEL News – August Update: South Africa CEMS Training, PortMiami Tunnel Case Study & Forbes Marshall Visit

This month, we’re sharing the latest from across CODEL, including technical training with our partners in South Africa, a new tunnel monitoring case study from Miami and visits from our colleagues at Forbes Marshall.

Strengthening CEMS Support in South Africa

Our Global Customer Support Manager, Alan Whitaker, and Commercial Director, Mike Percival, recently travelled to South Africa to deliver commercial and technical training to our partners SKYSIDE and Invictus Technical SA.

Hosted at SKYSIDE’s Johannesburg facility, the sessions provided teams from both companies with hands-on experience across a wide range of CODEL CEMS equipment.

By continuing to invest in training across our global partner network, we’re strengthening the local knowledge and expertise available to support CODEL customers throughout the lifetime of their equipment.

Beneath Biscayne Bay: CODEL at the PortMiami Tunnel

Our latest case study takes us beneath Miami’s Biscayne Bay to the PortMiami Tunnel, where CODEL technology plays an important role in supporting safe and efficient tunnel operation.

Eight CODEL air quality monitoring systems continuously monitor conditions throughout the tunnel, providing data used to control 44 powerful ventilation fans as air quality conditions change.

The new case study explores the challenges of monitoring this demanding environment and how continuous air quality measurement supports effective ventilation control.

Celebrating 27 Years at CODEL

As part of a recent visit to our Bakewell headquarters, Forbes Marshall Director of HR, Bobby Kuriakose, joined the CODEL team to recognise a significant company milestone.

Bobby presented our Managing Director, Richard Hallam, with a long service award celebrating an incredible 27 years with CODEL.

It was a great opportunity to recognise Richard’s longstanding contribution to CODEL and celebrate the milestone together with colleagues from Forbes Marshall.
