CODEL News – June Update: Technical Training, PM Monitoring & a New Customer Case Study

June has been another busy month at CODEL, with technical training delivered both in the UK and overseas, continued development of our PM monitoring resources, and the publication of a new customer success story demonstrating the value of continuous ambient dust monitoring

Strengthening Support Through Technical Training

Our Global Customer Support Manager, Alan Whitaker, spent the beginning of the month in Vietnam, working alongside our distributor, Dimo Vietnam.

 

During the visit, Alan delivered in-depth technical training on our Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), both at DIMO’s offices and at customer sites across the country. By combining office-based learning with practical, on-site support, the visit has further strengthened local technical expertise and enhanced the level of support available to customers throughout the region.

 

Back at our head office in Bakewell, we also had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Lee from Sung Bo, South Korea, for comprehensive training across the TunnelTech product range. The hands-on sessions were designed to strengthen product knowledge and technical understanding, helping ensure customers throughout his region continue to receive the highest level of support and guidance.

Why Measuring PM Matters

This month we also pushed our online resources covering particulate matter (PM) monitoring in road tunnels.

 

Our latest article explores the impact of PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10 on human health, highlighting why continuous monitoring is becoming increasingly important for improving air quality, protecting tunnel users and supporting safer infrastructure.

 

With further developments planned for our Tunnel PM monitoring range, there’s plenty more to come over the coming months.

New Holcim Case Study Published

We’re also pleased to share a new customer case study featuring Holcim, one of the UK’s leading cement manufacturers.

 

Following the installation of the CODEL EnergyTech 501 Ambient Dust Monitor, Holcim has improved early dust leak detection across its high-pressure cement transfer system, helping reduce the risk of material loss, minimise unplanned downtime and improve process reliability.

 

The case study also demonstrates how preventing just a single major dust-loss incident can offset the cost of the instrument, delivering a clear return on investment through reduced product loss, lower clean-up costs and improved operational efficiency.
