Flow Measurement Without Contact with the Gas
High temperatures, dust and contamination can make flow measurement difficult. Probes and sensors exposed directly to the gas stream can become blocked, contaminated or damaged, leading to increased maintenance and uncertainty around measurement reliability.
The VCEM 5100 takes a different approach.
Instead of placing a sensor directly into the gas stream, the VCEM 5100 uses two infrared sensors positioned outside the duct to detect radiated heat patterns from the flue gas.
By correlating the movement of these patterns, the system calculates gas velocity without the sensors ever coming into contact with the process gas.
Nothing in the Gas Stream. Nothing to Clog.
With no measurement components exposed directly to the process gas, the VCEM 5100 avoids the challenges faced by conventional flow measurement methods, such as Pitot tubes, which can become blocked or contaminated in hot, dusty and wet gas streams.
