CODEL News – July Update: Asian Tunnel Visit, CEM Distributor Visits & Product Training

CEM Distributor Visit – Brazil

Our CEM Business Development Manager, Jon Whittam, had a busy and productive start to July with a visit to our distributor ESG3 in Brazil. The trip covered several key regions including Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo.

Throughout the visit, Jon held a series of meaningful discussions focused on a broad range of sectors, including steel, pulp & paper, cement, and mining. These meetings laid the groundwork for new opportunities and further strengthened our presence in the region.

Tunnel Distributor Visits – Asia

Later in the month, our Sales Director Mike Percival and Tunnel Business Development Manager Daniel Hodgkinson embarked on an Asian Visit Tour, meeting with several of our established tunnel monitoring distributors and exploring potential new partnerships in emerging markets.

The first stop was in Vietnam with our long-standing partner VietAn. This visit provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase our full tunnel product range in a market showing real growth. We’re also excited to confirm that our first tunnel project together in Vietnam is now on the horizon.

Next, Dan and Mike travelled to Taiwan to visit Atlas Technology Corp. The visit brought about valuable discussions, with both Mike and Dan feeding back positively on the engagement. With CODEL now holding approximately a 90% market share in the Taiwanese tunnel sector, this visit helped further cement our strong position in the region.

Their final stop took them to Seoul, South Korea, to meet with our distributor Parkor. During this visit, they toured several road tunnels in the Seoul area, many of which are equipped with CODEL Tunnel Monitors. It was a rewarding opportunity to see our equipment performing reliably in live environments, reinforcing the quality and durability of our tunnel solutions.

Technical Training – Kazakhstan

To round off a month of global collaboration, Alan Whitaker, our Global Customer Support Manager, visited ERG in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan. The trip included a detailed technical training session covering our GCEM, VCEM, and DCEM product ranges. This is part of our continued dedication to global customer support and ensuring long-term product performance through effective hands-on training.
